Adobe Spark Page is a program that allows you to make one-page web-based HTML documents that can be published to the internet. Adobe Spark Video is a simplified video creation program that allows users to produce videos for social media based off templates and has question prompts to help you tell a story. All these programs are made to be simple to use and intuitive. They are template-based and do not require the user to be an expert in media creation.

  • Introducing Your Own Content
  • Using the Program as a Branding Tool for Social Media Platforms

Adobe Spark

Adobe Spark for web and mobile makes it easy to create social graphics, web pages, and short videos. With Spark, available as a standalone subscription or as part of an Adobe Creative Cloud plan, you get full access to premium templates, Adobe fonts and more.

You can create individual Pages, Posts, and Videos, or you can use the formats together (including a Post image in a Video, or a Video in a Page, you get the idea).

When you publish a Spark Video project to create a link, there is processing required to prepare the video. This can take several minutes on average. The speed at which we can process your video depends on how many other requests are pending, so based on the traffic on our site, our speed may vary.

Adobe Spark enables you to tell stories and share ideas quickly and beautifully. Spark lets you create three types of content:

Use Page to create a story using text, images, and video. When you’re done we’ll present your story as a responsive web page that can be viewed in any web browser.
Use Post to create images optimized for social media; you provide images and text and we’ll help with the design. We’ll even help you create the right shape and size image for each social media platform.
Use Video to create, well, a video. Add videos from your computer or iOS camera roll, overlay text, add your voice and background music, and we’ll help turn your story into an amazing video to share with the world.

Spark Page turns stories into modern, professional, attention-grabbing web pages. With Page, teachers and students can bring words and images together in fun ways, turning essays, assignments, reports, and more into engaging visual stories. Play with a variety of layouts, and add text. Use your own photos, or pick from thousands of free online images (with appropriate filtering applied). Simply tap on one of the professional themes and beautiful fonts, and magazine-style design and motion transforms the story. The end result is a modern, responsive webpage, one that looks great on any device and any size screen.

Spark Post enables you to create stunning social graphics in seconds. Start by remixing a design from the Inspiration Wall, or start from scratch to create a truly unique masterpiece. Either way, add an image, provide text, and beautiful typography will be applied on-the-fly. Transform your creation by applying design filters with a single tap. Each tap gives you completely new layouts, color palettes, typography styles, and photo filters – no design experience required. When you’re done, save your creation, or share it with family and friends via e-mail, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.

Spark Video lets you turn your story into a captivating animated narrated video in just minutes. Presenting a report, explaining a concept in class, or telling a personal story has never been easier. Starting with a blank slate, or using gentle prompts as a guide, teachers and students use Spark to talk through their story one line at a time. Pick from thousands of beautiful, iconic images (or use your own) to illustrate your ideas. Select a design theme and supporting music. Spark automatically incorporates cinema-quality animation; just tap play and view it on any device or browser. Then, share with friends, family, and the world.

Adobe Spark can be used from your favorite desktop web browser on both Windows and Mac machines, as well as on Chromebooks. The web application supports all three Spark formats in one integrated environment.

Adobe Spark can also be used on iOS devices (both iPhones and iPads) using the Spark mobile apps. There are three Spark iOS apps, one for each Spark format, and you can use any or all as you see fit.

A Spark Video is a narrated movie, and is thus best suited for oral presentations, the type of storytelling that you may have previously used slideshow software for. A Spark Page is a highly visual text based story, think of it as the word processor you wish you had when you were in school. As such, it is ideally suited for text-based projects and assignments that involve lots of photographs. A Spark Post is an image optimized for social media. If you are going to be posting ideas or links (including links to Video and Page stories), then Post will create the compelling attention-grabber that you’ll need.

The Adobe Spark web application runs on Windows 7 or newer, and Mac OS X. Supported web browsers are Chrome 36 or newer, Firefox 31 or newer, Safari 7 or newer, Internet Explorer 11 or newer, and Microsoft Edge. Chromebooks are supported by Adobe Spark. The iOS apps will run on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 8 or newer.

While Spark remains free to use, today Adobe is adding a new paid feature to help small businesses create branded media content. The feature, called Branded Stories, lets you make graphics, web pages, and video stories. “We see Spark as a complementary solution to anybody who’s creating a webpage,” Adobe says.

Spark lets you turn your text and photos into a professional-looking, attention-getting graphic. Simply pick a design template, add your photo and text, and quickly resize your creation to fit your favorite social media site or blog.

Sometimes you don’t need a traditional website to get your message across. Adobe Spark Page is ideal for projects that don’t require more than one page, such as portfolios, resumes, presentations, blog posts, and photo galleries. Adobe Spark Page can showcase a product catalog, advertise a special offer, or act as a weekly or monthly newsletter for businesses.

No matter what you create with Adobe Spark, you can do it without spending a penny. Adobe Spark Page and its companions, Adobe Spark Post and Adobe Spark Video, are available on the web and mobile from a single account. Additionally, Adobe hosts AdobeSpark Page, so you don’t need to sign up for web hosting to publish your pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does online education work on a day-to-day basis?
Instructional methods, course requirements, and learning technologies can vary significantly from one online program to the next, but the vast bulk of them use a learning management system (LMS) to deliver lectures and materials, monitor student progress, assess comprehension, and accept student work. LMS providers design these platforms to accommodate a multitude of instructor needs and preferences.
Is online education as effective as face-to-face instruction?
Online education may seem relatively new, but years of research suggests it can be just as effective as traditional coursework, and often more so. According to a U.S. Department of Education analysis of more than 1,000 learning studies, online students tend to outperform classroom-based students across most disciplines and demographics. Another major review published the same year found that online students had the advantage 70 percent of the time, a gap authors projected would only widen as programs and technologies evolve.
Do employers accept online degrees?
All new learning innovations are met with some degree of scrutiny, but skepticism subsides as methods become more mainstream. Such is the case for online learning. Studies indicate employers who are familiar with online degrees tend to view them more favorably, and more employers are acquainted with them than ever before. The majority of colleges now offer online degrees, including most public, not-for-profit, and Ivy League universities. Online learning is also increasingly prevalent in the workplace as more companies invest in web-based employee training and development programs.
Is online education more conducive to cheating?
The concern that online students cheat more than traditional students is perhaps misplaced. When researchers at Marshall University conducted a study to measure the prevalence of cheating in online and classroom-based courses, they concluded, “Somewhat surprisingly, the results showed higher rates of academic dishonesty in live courses.” The authors suggest the social familiarity of students in a classroom setting may lessen their sense of moral obligation.
How do I know if online education is right for me?
Choosing the right course takes time and careful research no matter how one intends to study. Learning styles, goals, and programs always vary, but students considering online courses must consider technical skills, ability to self-motivate, and other factors specific to the medium. Online course demos and trials can also be helpful.
What technical skills do online students need?
Our platform typically designed to be as user-friendly as possible: intuitive controls, clear instructions, and tutorials guide students through new tasks. However, students still need basic computer skills to access and navigate these programs. These skills include: using a keyboard and a mouse; running computer programs; using the Internet; sending and receiving email; using word processing programs; and using forums and other collaborative tools. Most online programs publish such requirements on their websites. If not, an admissions adviser can help.
